Thanksgiving - 2014

November 27th






I will return to publishing pages on Dec 1.

Family is coming up from Florida to spend a week with

us and will be staying at our home. We only see them

once a year and are looking forward to spending

time with them and catching up in person.

Thank you.

This chair would appear to be one that a collector

could save and refinish into a beauty.





No saving this I am afraid. It would appear

the rear claw feet are gone and it is

it surely is in bad shape.


















I do love this picture. The love of

friends shines here.

This kitten knows where to keep warm.





Looks like Grandma has the Thanksgiving

bread baked and I am sure her kitchen

is smelling mighty good.

Crock Pot Lemon Burst Cake

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 box Betty Crocker Lemon Cake Mix {15.25 oz.}

  • 1/2 cup Applesauce

  • 1 1/3 cup Water

  • 3 Eggs

  • Pam Cooking Spray

  • Cream Cheese Frosting

  • 1 tsp. Lemon Juice

What You’ll Do:

  • Spray inside of Crockpot with Pam Cooking Spray.

  • Pour mixture into Crock pot and cover.

  • Cook on high for 1.5 – 2 hours, or until done.

  • Once the cake was done, I just carefully cut pieces directly out from the

  •  Crock pot.

  • Stir in 1 tsp. Lemon Juice into Cream Cheese Frosting, and frost after

  • Beat cake mix, apple sauce, water and eggs together for 1 minute with

  •  mixer.

  •  you’ve dished up your piece for an extra little boost of lemon zing!
