WELCOME TO THE

MONTH OF JUNE!

June offers the most hours of daylight of any month of the year! For gardeners, this is a

great boon, allowing them to concentrate on their fields and flowers.

June is named for the Roman goddess Juno, patroness of marriage and women. Since

ancient times, cultures have adopted June as the perfect time for revelry, weddings,

 and feasts.

One old proverb says, “Calm weather in June sets corn in tune.” Like Goldilocks,

gardeners hope for weather that is just right: not too hot, not too cold, not too wet,

not too dry.

Even the tenderest plants—softies like basl and tomatoes are put in the ground in June.

Folk wisdom tells us that plants will catch up by the end of the month regardless of

how early we got them in the ground—thanks to the long hours of sunshine.

The birthstones for June are the pearl, alexandrite, and moonstone.

The birth flower for June is the rose.

I will now be sharing just one photo for this section.

"thank you"

What a beauty this would have been if only taken

care of and fixed up.

Many have asked to see our finished front porch. So sorry it

has taken me so long to share. Below are two pictures. We

just love it and use it daily.

The only thing we would like to do is make some kind of

flower bed on this end. It looks bare. We have had to

place some wood and dirt up against it as the neighborhood

groundhog(s) thought it would be a good home, NOT!

A front view halfway to the roadway. Now, back to

some regular shares.

Lets start with a chocolate fix! Looks so creamy

This cute fellow goes with June being Dairy month.

And looks like fresh peas from the garden.

Summer fun & love from a friend

A sure cutie with my favorites - daisies

And ... the way it used to be

just send the email that pops up

You took the time, thank you!

Hope that the first day of June will be a happy

one for you. Now, let's slow up this month.

Agree? Take time to enjoy.

Now, till another time, be safe in

all you do. Be aware of everything and

everyone around you at all times. A

very good habit .... take care!
